Ideas on loose console?
Of every problem that I've had with my boat, there is a single nagging problem that has disgusted me the most. More or less since day 1, my console has been "DANGEROUSLY" loose. i.e. the console will lift/move while under way. Now, in defense of Logic/Triumph, before the name change, someone from the factory actually came out to my office (about a 50 mile trip one way) and installed 3 anchors in the front of the console, which has stopped the front of the console from lifting.
Interestingly, in newer 210/215s they use a different screw arrangement all the way around the inside lip of the console. Has anyone come up with a mod (or for that matter needed to?) to REALLY secure the console to the deck? I was thinking about installing some type of stud with fender washers from underneath the deck (if possible) that I could tighten down with fender washers and bolts from the top. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Bart |
