Exclamation thanks randy

since i instigated this request for a section for logics , i guess i got some splanning to do!!!!!
first off i am happy to be part of the Triumph family and this is by no means a move to keep us seperated.

that being said, it seems that some of the newer model year owners are sometimes getting confused in thinking that their triumphs may have the same issues as us older model guys . it is mostly because of these issues that the factory has been able to improve these boats from year to year. IMO they have gone backwards on certain things , but i don't have a dog in this hunt so i 've taken the hand i've been dealt and making the best of it.

the majority of logic owner mods. involve bringing our boats up the the niceties you guys with the new boats already have. so,alot of what i think should be posted here would not pretain to triumph models . that being said, there could be things here that '02,'03 guys could benefit from and all owners are welcome to check here, if for nothing else, to see all the stuff you don't need to do!!!!!

i just think it would be a good way to help keep folks from getting confused.
a case in point is the posts i did about the bilge hose rubbing on the rule enough to expose the stainless steel bands and cause water to leak into the foam.
that is a logic specific problem and i got all kinds of mail from guys wanting to know why they didn't see this on a say '04 model. the reason is we have 85 gallon fuel tanks and the plumbing is totally different and doest apply to an '04 boat.

another example i have direct experience with is the side scuppers on the '01 logic cool bay 186 not draining with heavy 4 strokes on them. the new models have the scuppers on the transom and they have their own unique quirks.

i will continue to help all owners no matter what year boat they own, but to make it less confusing i would like us logic owners to post our specific situations here
love ya mean it

Well I guess I don't understand, What's the differance between model year changes and the name change? Every year manufactures change things, even the name. The 06, 21' will be called a 215, same hull with updated "stuff".

Lightbulb Boat Lift 01 Logic

Please excuse me again,I have probably a stupid question..Im used to fiberglass boats...Im getting ready to put my 01 logic 210 on a lift..do I treat it the same as I would a fiberglass boat as far as bunk placement ? I know to stay clear of the through hulls etc is there any thing else I need to be concerned with ? Honestly Im not a NEW boater..Ive owned boats for 25 years..but Ive never owned one like this and I want to make sure I do things right...thanks in advance...

come on dick---you of all people know all the differences.
this is not a movement to keep the logic name alive--but rather a way to help "new" triumph owners from getting confused with all the changes we with logics are making that's all . i have said '01 on everyone of my posts and i still get pm from '04 ,05 ,o3 owners asking why they don't see say the bilge hose rubbing the rule off the s.s strapping on their boats.
this was just the only way i could think of at the time to tell folks if it aint a logic it doesn't probably pretain to your boat.
this will be a place for owners of pre triumph models can come to and get the specific changes that have been made to their boats and it will be archived for all future owners of these models to visit and see what we have already done and it will be their choice as to whether they want to do the changes or not

Yeah Robert, I Know the differences between the boats and I still stand with what I said. However it's an owners site and you guys can do whatever you want, It's my openion that an answer to a question in more cases than not, will pertain to the model not the year since the factory makes running changes to the product [which drive dealers nuts]. If enough guys feel strongly about this, add Logic to the site name. It's my humble openion that it is more confusing to the average owner. Nuff said.

Exclamation

Let me interject here that I created the "Logic" forum yesterday, at GGC's request, with the idea of having a forum for specific mod's or "owner to owner" questions/comments where Logic owners could easily place posts and find Logic specific information. It was never my intention to create another "Tech Talk" forum for Logic owners in this forum.

Dick Cabble graciously agreed last Fall to host the Tech Talk forum and all technical or warranty questions or issues by our membership should be directed to the Tech Talk forum, whether for Logic or Triumph boats. Dick and Carl Merritt know more about these boats (all models) than anyone I know of. We are blessed to have their participation and support on this site and if you want a straight answer on a technical or warranty question, then take advantage of Dick's presence here and go to the "Tech Talk" forum to get the answer. If they don't know the answer they will contact the factory and find out.

If fellow Logic owners want to communicate specifically about their boats here that is fine. But if I hear from the membership that having a separate Logic forum is confusing we'll close it down and go back to the way I set it up to start with. To me it was logical (no pun intended ) when I started the site to segment the boats by model/hull size (ie. 210, 190, etc.), and it still seems logical to do so. But I created this site as an "owners" site and I want to always be as responsive to owner requests as I can. Final decisions on items like this will be made based on what I perceive as being best for the entire membership.

Thanks all!
Randy

Logic site

Guys!!

This is just a GREAT place to get ideas and information about out plastic boats.

I've got a '01 186 and have followed the talk from forum to forum. and got some really great information that has helped me a LOT. And passed on some tid bits myself.

Us ol'timers know the difference between the models, but a lot of people do not. There are still a lot of newbies and potential plastic boat owners that do not know the history of our brand. They may be a bit confused, but they can ask questions like we all have done from time to time.

Personally, I like the idea of a 'Logic' spot. I can go there and see if anything new has appeared. As well as check out the others.

SO, i think il-logic has a good idea.
