Question 01 210 wiring

Im in the process of doing some wiring modification on my 210cc,the electronics will all be wired to a buss bar, simular to one that has been shown in 210 modifications photo section. Im in the early stages purchasing wire etc.
Does anyone know what other factory options ie; trim tabs, bilge pump might be left directly wired to the batteries,or are they wired through the wiring harness ?

Most of the switches and lights were wire through the stock buss bar, When doing electronics, most require direct wireing to the battery with a fuseable link.

Wink wiring 01 210cc logic

Thanks for the feed back,,I thought I would check with the experts before I cook some electronics through some wiring design of my own..one other question what do you think of a breaker or disconnect on the buss bar that controls the electronics ? seams like I always leave something on and run down batterys...the mind is a terrable thing to loose....

i had a 50 amp resetting thermal disconnect between the battery and the hot feed on the dashboard switching and the same on second battery between it and a distribution panel i mounted in the console e box for all electronics. i want to put the 3 on/off switches like osprey vic did in the future to "kill" all power from the batteries

I too, have the battery switch that turns power off to all , i use this to help prevent drain on the battery when not in use.

Question another 210 wiring question

My dept/fish finder just washed out, so I need to replace it, how difficult is it to run the transducer cable through the cable channel into the console? do I need a fish tape ? or just connect the new wire to the old one and gently pull it through into the console?...looks like there are already plenty of wires
in the channel...thanks

cfirth,

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAPE THE NEW CABLE TO THE OLD ..TAPE IT PLENTY AND HAVE SOMEONE FEED THE SLACK AS SOMEONE PULLS.

if there wasnt a pull rope left in the console back to the storage box ,don't forget to add one for future projects. since you have an '01 and i can't remember if you ever mentioned if you had the rear deck lid off, it wouldnt hurt to pull it off to ease in getting the cable up front . you could then do a check of fuel tank sender(mine was rusted away when i pulled the lid last summer, move the s.s. rod closer to the angled fuel pickup fitting to protect from getting damaged, check to make sure the bilge pump hose hasnt rubbed the rule away from the s.s. strap in mid bilge. you may have done these things already, but if not ,they need to be addressed sooner than later.

DONT FORGET THE LONG SCREWS GO ON THE OUTSIDE,, NOT ON THE LIVEWELL LIP
