Question Just bought a 210 CC Logic

Just bought a 2001 210 CC Logic w/ a Johnson 115 HP. I traded down from a 2000 Wellcraft 230 Fisherman w/ an Evinrude 225. I loved my old boat and used it in the Gulf off of Fort Meyers, FL.. We recently moved inland to Lake Harris NW of Orlando and found that the boat, at almost 25' in length, was just too big for the slip and channel our condo came with. I also wanted to be able to tow the boat back to NE Indiana where our summer home is on a 1000 acre lake. The Wellcraft was just getting to be too heavy, too long, and too much work for me at 70+ to handle comfortably. My son and grandson also like to go salmon fishing with me in Lake Michigan.

I have been reading about the water retention issue on this forum and was wondering if I should be concerned about this problem? Do the older Logic's have more issues then the newer Triumphs... and what other things should I be on the look out for??

Some specific question:
My 210 CC does not have a swim platform... I would like to know if one can be installed or if some other ladder might be a better option?

This 210 CC does not have a dual battery system. I would like to install one, what do you recommend?

We bought the boat last weekend in North Carolina and towed it back to Indiana. I was amazed at how easily it towed and at the differnce in weight between the Wellcraft and the Logic. We have it in the water now and have been very pleased so far!

Two years ago I bought a 2001 210. I knew there was water in the inner hull and finally got around to installing a drain. I got aleast 20 gals. of water out! In my opinion you need it. It was really easy to do. The measurements I used were provided by Dick Merrit. It does take some time for the water to quit draining before you can install the plug but this can be speeded up by letting it drain for a couple of days and then lower the bow as low as possible and install it. You'll want to get some Rule sealant before you do this.

Thanks!
How did you know that your boat had water in the inner hull? Is there some way to check for this? Our boat does not have the inner hull drain.

The biggest source of water getting into my hull was where the bilge pump hose went over the SS keel { remove the bilge cover and check it out, BE SURE TO PUT THE RIGHT SCREWS IN THE RIGHT SPOT WHEN REINSTALLING OR YOU'LL PUT A LONG ONE INTO YOUR FUEL TANK!!!] Water was seeping back into my bilge. I also installed a new Furuno 582 and when mounting the transducer it was drip, drip . That was the sure sign. I also resealed the keel at the bilge pump hose crossing area. Use a hair dryer to soften the sealant, clean out as much as possible and reseal. Next I cut a small piece of nylon cutting board and put under the pump to raise it so it won't rub anymore.
