The answer to your question is not an easy one. Were you satisfied with the performance of your boat with the old prop? If not, what were your complaints? Without some more info, it will be hard for anyone to give you sound advice on your next prop purchase.

Some things to think about are; At wide open throttle (WOT) did the old prop allow the engine to over rev. If so, you can safely go to a steeper pitch prop, like a 13 or 15, gain some speed in doing so and reduce the danger of continually over revving the motor. If you have an over rev limiter, that is good, but it cannot be good in general for your limiter to have to control your engine speed. Did the 11 pitch not over rev your motor? Then you may have the optimum prop in that pitch. If it was mounted on the motor new, by a responsible dealer, then it may well be the best for your motor and boat combination. Is fuel economy a concern for you? Is idle trolling speed an issue? See how complicated this can get. No one prop will solve all your needs.

The bottom line is you will need to experiment some. That can get a little expensive if you cannot get a test prop from your dealer to try out. Just remember, it is your boat and you are the one who needs to be satisfied. A little trial and error will educate you quickly to which new prop you need.

Good luck with the search, it can be fun if you look at it that way.

The BF 115 is a 'de-tuned' BF 130. I use 13.25X17 on my 190 Bay with the BF 130. In no way does this translate into much help on your 210, but below is a listing of prop sizes from Honda for the HP motors from 75 to 130...

BF75-BF130
Solas Honda–3 Blade Aluminum
Propeller Dimension Honda
B D P R Part Number
3 14 11 R 58130-ZW1-011AH
3 13³⁄₄ 13 R 58130-ZW1-013AH
3 13³⁄₄ 13 L 58130-ZW1-013B
3 13¹⁄₂ 15 R 58130-ZW1-015AH
3 13¹⁄₂ 15 L 58130-ZW1-015B
3 13¹⁄₄ 17 R 58130-ZW1-017AH
3 13¹⁄₄ 17 L 58130-ZW1-017B

Codfish is right, more information is needed.

I have an 01 Logic 210 with a Honda 130. I run a 13X15 4 blade prop. My dealer delivered with a 13 1/4 X 17 3 blade.

I switched for better rough water handling. I lost a couple of knots at top speed, but gained some hole shot.

You said you just want to fish... troll? how fast? how did the 13 X 11 do? That sounds a bit underpropped to me, but it may give you perfect trolling speed. I troll at 4 - 14 knots so slow speed is not an issue for me.

Just my .02
Mike

Smile Prop Questions

Thanks for all the info guys. I will be using the boat to fish Walleye on Lake Erie and some off shore Rock Fish down OBX . So a slow trolling speed will be needed for the walleye ( 1 to 2 knots ) I did have to watch the over rev with the 13x11 3 blade. I think at this point I will try a 13 pitch . Like Codfish said experiment. Thank god for overtime. Thanks again. Smilndawg
