Post Emptying baitwell to the bilge

I have a '01 210cc, the old "LOGIC" boats. Is there anyway to divert the water, when draining the bait tank, from going onto the floor and ending up in the bilges below deck. My bilge smells like bait!

Striperking, Sorry to hear your Logic boats do not have the through hull drain for the livewell that the Triumphs have. I would think you could install such a drain, designed after the one in the Triumph 210s.

Your mention of the inability to drain the fish boxes is a problem we all have, whether Logic or Triumph. The drain holes in the boxes are just too low in the hull to allow them to drain to the bilge unless the boat is in motion with bow up or parked on a hill on the trailer with the bow up. That one we will just have to live with I believe. My guess is, in the design process, there has to be a certain amount of contact between the outer hull and the inner hull to provide strength and rigidity between the two. That leads to the linear depression in the bottom of the fish boxes. An area where outer and inner hulls meet. The best we can hope for, in the future, is that Triumpph will do a better job of moving the drain hole to the very bottom of the boxes so we do not have that one inch of water left over after an inclined drain out. This of course does not help those who already own these boats, but would be good for Triumph in the future sales arena. I for one hope they are listening to us on this matter. All the little bells and whistles won't matter a bit if a prospective buyer gets turned off by a stinky bilge problem continuously aired on this site.

Bye for now. codfish

I Too Feel Your Pain As An '01 210 Cc Owner. However, I Do Have The Thru The Hull Drains On All Six Floor Boxes ,but Has Of Yet Tried To Pull The Plug On One While Underway To See If They Will Drain.
Have Thought Of Rigging A Small -say 350 Gpm Bilge Style Pump With Alligator Clips And Pumping Them Overboard Using The Battery Term. Block In The Starboard Rear Storage Box As A Power Source.
As For The Livewell, I Moved The Rawwater Inlet To The Top Of The Livewell And Put A Manual Areartor Valve So I Can Control The Amount Of Water Coming Into The Livewell Cause I Leave It Running All The Time I Have Bait In It. I Plan To Take The Hole That Was Where The Old Inlet Was At The Bottom And Tee It Into The 2" Overflow Drain Hose Once I Find A 2x3/4 Tee . I Just Dont Think There Is Enough Room Around The Gas Tank To Put A Drain Out The Bottom As In The Newer Models As They Have 70 Gal Tanks With A Indent Where The Current Model Drains Go.
Just Part Of Having The Prototype Models From Which All The Inprovements Came From. But My Boat Hull Only Cost Me <6,000.00
So There Has To Be A Trade Off Somewhere.

Check Out The Logic Section And See Where We Have Done As Much As We Can To Get 'em Like The New'ens

water on top of water

I made a portable bilge pump that would plug in the cigarette lighter plug, however i ended up putting that bilge pump in the bilge area to push the water from oneside of the boat to the other so the main bilge pump could push out more water instead of leaving 2 or 3 inches of water in there. I would like to put a bigger bilge to push water out but not enough room to make it fit notice that some water remains inside the hose when the pump loses it's prime.

Robert as you know I got the thru hull drains in july when I came down for mack fest. I am still getting use to making sure the plugs are in when I put the boat in. I forgot the last time and my boxes filled with water. It took me a while to figure out why the boat was listing and sloshing around. they did not drain underway ,,, although I was not going that fast speed might make a difference or mounting clam shells over the openings underneath. I did not plug the existing drains to the bilge from the box yet and that came in real handy as they drained the boxes after I got the plugs in while driving the boat around.
