Yamaha 115

115 Yamaha is the finest Yamaha product I've owned since I bought my brand-new DT1 250 Enduro in 1970! Back then, I paid $812...out the door for a brand new motorbike that lasted me many many years and miles.

This new Yamaha don't need no stinkin' oil injection system though.......it's amazingly quiet to my ears...although it is only the second 4-stroke outboard motor I've ever been around and it is louder than the other one, a 60 hp Merc.....

It is plenty able to push my 190 Bay and four adults around all day long and seems to burn more air than gasoline. Bought it two years old-used with about 50 hours on the meter. I replaced the Michigan wheel that was on it for a genuine Yammi one just in time to let my (almost) son-in-law run it up in some mud.............my fault entirely as he had never driven a boat on this river before.

I had my sights set on a 90 Honda, brand new on a similarly brand new boat but found a great deal from a private seller on this '04 with the Yamaha 115........I'm very satisfied that it worked out this way...........

Tight lines!

When I'm back in Marblehead....

I'll look ya up, MiM..I've fished Maine and Mass successfully in kayaks for the last five years or so.....lotsa flyfishing. Newly moved south to upper Chesapeake bay area where the smallmouth/largemouth fishing is hotting up as it gets colder!!

Hi all,
I think the Yamaha 150 hpdi is the best motor ever. Better fuel efficiency at true cruising speed not trolling. Less moving parts to repair when something goes wrong.

Tight lines and loose drags, DANK
