drain holes in fish boxes to small

is it possible to drill the drain tubes in the fish boxes out to a larger size so they won't clog up with debis?

NO, problem is you would then allow water into the inner hull and you might void your warranty.

Think is is an excellent suggest for Triumph though, These drains need to be at least 1/2" ID and better yet 3/4" ID

Little addition to this, is if the drains were the sizes mentioned above, then those individuals that want to block them off could do so with standard boat plugs.
