New 170CC Owner

Just purchased my 1st boat in June from Hooked on the Bay in MD (great people) and some great advice from a friend who turned me on to Triumph.... I ended up with a 170CC w/70HP Susuki, Lowrance 525c, Minkota 55. First trip to Avalon in NJ netted 2 Dogfish and a sunburn...oh well. The trip was more of a learning experience then anything. The Susuki 70 is absolutely amazing. Also had the boat out about 5 times to Marsh Creek PA (electric only), can be a bit boring but a great place to learn the ins and outs of the Lowrance...launching...etc. and not a bad bass lake.

Grandes,
First off, welcome aboard! Congrats on the new 170CC. You've picked a great first boat. It sounds like you are well on your way to years of enjoyment. Please post some pictures of your new love when you get the time. Everyone loves to show off their boat and this is the perfect forum for that.

Enjoy and tight lines.

Welcome aboard, nice choice on your first boat. Your friend gave you some great advice. Sounds as though you are all set up for fishing, good luck on your future trips.

Grandes,

Congrats!!! I have had my 170CC w Honda 75 for 3 years now and am still as happy as the day I bought it, which by the way was at Hooked On the Bay. Unless you love Marsh creek you will probably out grow it fast with your new boat.

I live in Glen Mills, PA and fish/crab the Susquehanna Flats and all near by rivers. Not to mention Rehoboth Bay and the Indian River Inlet, DE.

You will be amazed at the chop it can handle and if you have friends with comparable Aluminum boats, they will be humbled by the smooth ride.

Good Luck,
Jim

Welcome, and greetings from Colorado. Great choice for a "1st boat" We've had our 170DC for about 16 months now, and enjoy it more than ever.
