New Owner In Washington
In February I bought a 2004 Triumph 210CC, T-Top and Fish Package. It is outfitted with a Suzuki 140hp 4-Stroke and Mercury Big Foot 9.9hp ProKicker, Lorance LMS337CDF, Scotty 1106 Downriggers and an Icom VHF. She's a fish killin machine. I live on a small bay in the Pacific NorthWest and am an avid Salmon, Halibut and Lingcod fisher. I have also recently taken up Scuba Diving. I stmbled upon this sight and have enjoyed reading your tips and suggestions and look foreard to trying some of them. Thanks.

Greetings all
I have had a Logic 186 for over two years. I use it for cruising and diving. Once in a while we camp out on it.
I use a gunwale ladder to get in the boat not wearing the BCD & tank. The ladder is rated for 250#. I wish I had the Triumph 210 for the storage. I bet the tanks and dive gear would fit nicely in the front storage hold and keep the CG low. |

Another West Coaster in the 210
Hey Sea Slave (great name) - your boat sounds bueno. Sounds like you got it from Clearwater marine. The 03 I bought used earlier this year originally came from them too, also paired with a DF140. A good guy in Oregon (Codfish) has many posts worth perusing and also has a 210 w/ Suz and kicker.
What kind of kicker mount set-up do you have? Did Clearwater do it? They did a nice job on mine, but with a yammy 9.9 and their beefy bracket I am very close if not slightly over the recommended transom weight. The Mercs are a little lighter perhaps. You'll probably find some listing and pay attention the first couple times you have it anchored. I have some water intrusion through the scuppers and maybe over the transom into the splashwell- exacerbated if I don't bring my main motor up and happen to use a stern line on the same side as my kicker. I passed through Blaine two weeks ago on my way to Vancouver Is (Port Hardy area) for some halibut, ling cod, and salmon fishing. The 210 performed well though if I frequent the rainy northwest I'm going to have to invest in one of those enclosures! Take Care, Barry |

Blakinsmith,
I did purchase mine from Clearwater Marine, some good guys and good friends. My kicker bracket was custom made by someone local, but yes it is pretty hefty. I love my Merc Pro-Kicker 9.9. Funny you should mention the water intrusion from the scuppers. I have only run the numbers in my head but I am quite sure I exceed the max transom weight. I more my boat in a marina here and went down one day shortly after I bought it to find a foot or two of water in the rear of my boat. Water had entered through the scuppers and the bilge pump was clogged and did not start. All my motor wires and such got corroded off, it was a big mess. However, my buddies at Clearwater took great care of me and had me back in action quickly (complete with a new st of scupper plugs). Salmon fishing just opened here, but I haven't made it out yet. Next week maybe. Caught some real nice Lingcod last month though. Thanks for the post, hope to hear more from you. Seaslave |
