Hi,
I am new member with the 21 CC here in Monterey, California. With the 500 lb weight limitation for the transom and the 140 HP Johnson, it doesn't leave much weight left for the kicker motor. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to put on a kicker motor.
Thanks,
Gene

Gene - I sent you a reply to your original post - sounds like you didn't get it. I'm a neighbor - live in the SC mountains and have an 03 210 with kicker. The bottom line is people are living with being real close to the transom weight limit. An 8 hp kicker can be had for about 90 lbs and you should have margin for that. I have a 9.9 Yamaha and have had good luck. I have a beefy permanent bracket that was put on in WA state. Others, e.g., Codfish - see his posts on subject, have installed garelicks, which can move up and down. The boat will list a little - not objectionable.
