Ramps at Myrtle and Oak Island?

I need to see if someone would be able to help me with this info... We have free room and board in N.Myrtle and was wondering if there was a decent ramp on the intercoastal that would keep me from having to drive back up to Little River. We plan on heading north along the coast after leaving Little River. Then we are heading to Oak Island to meet up with friends for supper. So if you know a dock in Oak Island that will allow you to park for a few hours that would be helpful also. I understand we might have to pay a fee to dock but that is OK, I just need help as I have never put in around that area.

Thanks for any help.
Roger

Roger, this might not be the best forum for ramp information in Myrtle Beach. But you can probably get some good information from the members of my NCangler.com website.

fireman,
I don't know the myrtle beach area.On oak island you can use the free wild life ramp on fish factory road or you can use a pay ramp at the Southport marina. It is a small ramp with room for about 15-20 trailers. They are reworking it at the present time.It should be open soon. The wildlife ramp is large. Look up NC wildlife resource commision website. I think they have a listing for all of their ramps. Good luck.

dock access

SC DNR sells a waterway atlas with all public access locations marked. It shows maps of all the waterways by county. I bought mine about 8 yrs ago for $15. I review it for topo information as well as access locations. They are available at their offices. I wish I could find one for NC.
I used it alot for rivers, inshore as these werent available in gps mapping at that time.
The only ramp I am familiar with is the one at the big bridge.
Let me know if you need more details on the atlas and I will dig it out.

NC boat ramps

Roger,
I found this on the internet, I don't know if it will help.
Welcome to N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission

Here is another site that may be helpful to you but it doesn't show ramps.

satellite photo link

Roger,
I have been looking for river ramp info for NC. I ran up on this last night on this site or another.
You can actually zoom in from the satellite photos and look at the location/quality of the ramps.
I think it is a pretty cool tool.
