great mapping software
For those of us who love charting... maptech offers a free viewer of their program which allows you to download noaa charts (free). These charts have tidal and lunar information attached to them for ease of viewing. You can also manage your waypoints on your gps if you like. Some units are not listed but you can get them to work. You can actually add notations on the chart as you see fit danger areas etc. It is really a great program - if you buy the full version you can hhok your gps to it and view yourself on noaa charts granted you have to have a laptop on your boat... not I - the viewer works wonders. Also with the program you can print noaa chart packets with all notations on them and waypoints that you added to your charts. Once printed - spray them with water sealer and you have waterproof charts. I think I have a whole library.
