Internet Weather

Seems like I am fixated on "weather" this season. Thought we should be able to get as much free info as possible so thought I would start a thread on weather links to check radar, surface temps, etc so if anyone is going out to target temp changes and/or also to avoid storms moving thru the gulf or oceans.

Tons of weather information on this site that is always updated (would hate to be one of their programmers :shock: ) so click on the various windows / states for even more detailed local information.

Hey Molarboater,

I checked your suggested web sites. Good info but you should look at the sea surface temp charts available at "Coastwatch" on NOAAs web site. I am interested in the west coast but it also has the satellite info for the Gulf and the Atlantic. Since I don't know how to transfer the actuat page address, I would search for noaa coastwatch and then look for the "visual" records page for your area. The info is very detailed and timely. The only hitch is if there is cloud cover, you will only see black. The satellite can't read the temp through cloud cover. try it.
