Sport Fish Restoration Program

Otherwise known as "Your tax dollars at work" which has been very successful program as long as those funds do NOT get diverted to the general fund (as happened in the past) has helped the State of Florida produce some excellent free DVDs (meaning you already paid for them) that you can order can be found at the bottom of this page http://www.floridamarine.org/products/products.asp

Now granted, these DVDs are geared towards the very successful Florida programs and has a lot of information on our great states fishing and the billions of dollars (yes about 6 billion for our economy yearly) fishing brings into the state. The one DVD "It's in your hands" also covers how the Sport Fish Program works in any state and how your state gets it share of the federal tax monies returned based upon the number of licensed fisher-people (My wife has hers licence so we can't leave the Girls out!) it has.

So as the "paying" stewards of the resource, and the ones who fork up the cash to support such programs, everybody here needs to know how this system works to benefit all... This so when these radical tree huggers start to go nuts again / still you have the information to help thump them and inform them that you hope "They enjoy all the wildlife areas and not just game-fish we support" each time WE buy a licence, Tackle, Lure, etc...
