Talking Venice Louisiana fishing is awesome!

Just thought I would take a few minutes and drop a few lines about fishing in southern Louisiana following hurricane Katrina. I have spent the past 5 weekends down in Venice Louisiana fishing till my hearts content. There are lots of speckled trout and reds down here for the easy taking. The trick in all cases is to get your soft plastic lure down to the bottom. Me and my fishing partners have taken approx 250 trout and 45 reds over the past 5 weeks . So if your looking for fantastic fishing and you live near New Orleans, pack up your gear and head down to Venice, LA. Make sure you bring everything because there are still no services down there; no electricity, water, food, fuel, tire stores, ice or anything. Also don't forget your registration, the local sheriff dept is checking everyone leaving the parish to ensure you are bringing out only what you own.

Have fun fishing!!
