Gulf fishing July 29, 2006

Did a long haul last weekend with my father. We left out of FishRiver, AL at 7:30AM and crossed Weeks and Mobile Bays out past Dixie Bar and jostled around some thunder storms (thanks XM Weather Radar) and eventually ended up @12 miles out in the Gulf. We caught numerous bonita, two keeper kings and a small mahi. Had plenty of action trolling any type of lure "mahi" colored with cigar minnow. The silver-blue-reflective lures hook bonita only. Ended up a nice day and we decided to come back in thru Perdido Pass and run back thru the intercoastal canal back to Fish River at 5PM. There was a nice weedline out about 8 miles and blueish water @12.
Oh yeah, used only 3/4 tank gas in Bay 190 Suzuki 140, 120 miles.
