Offshore NJ Coast

At the end of last season I purchased the new 215 CC and I was curious if anyone in the area goes off shore fishing and how far they might take their Triumph. I am docked in Normandy Beach off the Barneget Bay. Any info on safe traveling distance or good fishing grounds off shore would be greatly appreciated.
