Spanish, Drum, Flounder are thick!!!
For all the Saltwater Guys here in NC..... The Spanish are in good around 315 and all up and down the Coast around Morehead City. The Red's are in the backwaters pretty good. Find a place that has them and you can go back there everyday and catch your boats limit. The Flounder are the same. You will have to go through allot of just shy guys because of the new regulations on them above Brown's Inlet but you should be able to get your fill. Both were caught with mud minnows (LARGE) and Berkley Gulp Shrimp in 4" size, shad color! The Spanish were caught on #2 planers with 15' of 20lb Florocarbon leaders and silver/pink clark spoons in 00 size (3") trolling at 3.5 knots. Good Luck to all that go and if you are looking for a cheap place to stay..Morehead City Inn. 1 Block from the 70 landing and get a upper level room. $62 a night and good enough for 2 fishermen. If the wife is going then you better just pay the $$$ for a nicer room! JB
