Flitz cleaner

I just recently picked up some Flitz cleaner, at West Marine. It was a little pricey, like $20.00 for 5 1/2oz tube of the paste.
I then decided, I was going to head to the boat, and put the super shine on my stainless, aluminum. After looking over the instructions, I went to work on my bow rail, and "WOW" what a shine!
It also removed the baked on bugs on the front of the rail with ease. Then I decided to tackle my t-top, especially the front, which was really plastered with bugs (due to to trailering), and it removed the insect parts with ease, and my aluminum looks like brand new.
Then I applied some on my windshield, and "let me tell ya", "my windshield looks better than when I bought it!".
I decided to hit the outboard, I have some water/ lime deposits on my lower unit.
It recommended that you use a stiff brush when removing lime deposits (which I didn't have at the time), and it removed about 98 percent of deposits with me just using a rag.
I then went to work on every piece of metal and plexy on the boat, and without even really putting a dent in the tube.
I'm really impressed with this Flitz cleaner, and it is non-toxic, non-flammable and wont dry out (just to name a few of its positive properties) and it also contains a protectant as well.
"It's really good stuff, I'm Sold!!

I love the stuff. I used it on a glass boat that had faded from age. It returned the shine to like new. Used a power buffer like you would waxing your car. Good stuff to use on the old glass boat before you sell it to buy your new Triumph. I bought a quart size can at a boat show and I know it will last me a lifetime.

They also sell a synthetic chamois buffing wheel you can use with a cordless drill. It makes quick work on the t-top and rod holders. Got mine at the local boat shows.

Now have any of you tried it on the boat itself....NOT for the tiny dots, that are fill up by dirt. BUTTTTT example I have a stain along the edge at the rear corner where, when I had a tarp covering the boat. As it rubbed during windy days caused a stain. Since then I have a canopy now. BUT I have tried everything, nothing gets it out.

You can also try tartar control toothpaste. I used WoodyWax on all metals since it has a corrosion preventer treatment as well but doesn't seem to be lasting as long as the claim. Not cheap either.

Genelie, I have a few stains myself. I have not tried the the Flitz on them yet. I know I have tried just about everything ele's to try and remove them.
When I make it back over to the boat I will give it a try.

Molar, I have used toothpaste on jewelry, jigging and trolling spoons with great results!

I think Flitz is the stuff I use to shine the brass window frame on my woodstove. works like a charm on that, never tried on the boat, I'll have to check it out!
