LED lighting

I have uploaded some photos of some LED replacement bulbs for my NAV light and my All Around light. These are LED bulb replacement units.
Also, I have a photo of a 10mm bolt LED light. You could put these as your tag bolts as an example. Or use them for lighting compartments.
I have two sizes of courtsey light units. A 4 LED and a 6 LED unit. The center LEDs shine straight out and the end LEDs are at a 45 degree angle.
There is also a square unit with 36 LEDs to replace a 1156 type bulb. I will use this in an overhead application in my camper. I got the RED LED unit for use when I'm doing astronomy. A white light can get you hurt by other astronomers.
ALL of the above LED products come in a variety colors.
I got them from www.superbrightleds.com I thought the prices were reasonable. I haven't seen anything like these products in a local store. Not even Radio Shack.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the information Brother!
Now which part number (if you know) is the one that is the direct replacement "bulb" (not the entire light) for the cockpit lights that are mounted low on the console of the 190 Bay? Do you have that one by chance?

Thanks again,
Dave

Puter
What I did was get the bulb number off the bulb and then check on the LED website to see if they had that number listed. If not, I went to:
http://www.gelighting.com/na/
I looked around in there till I found a list of bulbs to see what an equivelent would be. For example, the overhead bulb in my camper is not listed but is the same as an 1156 tailight bulb.
I was going to look up that bulb to replace them, but it was nasty & cold outside and I didn't want to deal with it.
Just because you are such a cool guy, I went out there for a look see. Bulb must be an original. It's so black I couldn't see any markings. That light cover on my Logic is a pain to get off. Are they supposed to be 'glued' on with sealant?
I'll have to do some research and get back to you on the replacement LED...if they have one.

Smile

Thanks for all the effort!
But don't worry about Brother, I just thought you might have already looked it up and knew off the top of your head, the needed part # thinking you had swapped yours out already So stay warm and inside will ya!

Besides, yours and mine "may" be different since mine is a 2004. So as soon as mine comes back home I will look into it (I need brighter deck lighting anyway) and let you know what I find out and if needed, I will enlist your help in pulling a cross reference part number once I secure the current bulbs part number...

Thanks again!
Dave

Puter, no worries.
I have the info on the bulb. It's a GE #194 bulb, common to instrument panels. The following link puts you on a page at SuperBrightLEDs. Every item except the last item, is a replacement for this bulb.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html
Some have a single LED and the others several with various light outputs. Some of the bigger ones may not clear the lens.
You can also 'click' on there somewhere to change the measurements to inches.
Leave nothing but bubbles.....John

You would need to purchase the WLED-x6 LEDs to have about the same light output as the #194 bulb. It seems that this item is the brightest of the bunch offered.
The original bulb, #194, is 1.06" long [GE Chart]. The WLED-x6 is .837" long, so it looks to fit. I think I'm going to order some along with some other items.

I've ordered the replacement wedge bulbs for courtesy lights.
I installed the replacement bulbs for my front Nav light and it looks good. The all around replacement is not as glaringly bright as the original. It has a softer glow.
I'll let y'all know how the others do at night.

Good Deal!
My current ones on the console are pretty weak and I would like to know how much brighter they are and if you run into any clearance issues installing them

Thanks again!
