attaching rod holders
I just bought my first Triumph, and was wondering if I need to use special screws to attach something. I want to mount rod holders for now, and probably more stuff later. Can I just use sheet metal screws? Thanks for any help you can offer, I don't want to lose a fish (and a rod) because I used the wrong screws!

NCangler put it perfectly. Just make sure your screws are stainless steel so they don't rust. Most of the screws you find at home improvement centers/hardware stores are not stainless, so don't make that mistake. Apply Rule (Sudbury) Elastomeric sealant to each screw and drive it in until it becomes snug. Don't overtighten or it will strip out. Get it snug and stop. You're done. Good luck with your install.
