3M 90 Adhesive spray

Hey Folks,
I am ready to apply the registration info to my hull. I found some 3M 90 adhesive spray at Home Depot. Is this similar to the 3M 94 that is discussed on the forum? Can I use this or should I track down some 3M 94? Thanks for your help.

Hey LBI,

I would not mess around with anything but the 94 Primer by 3M. You can get small tubes of it from your dealer for $2 each or just call Triumph. I tried a couple other adhesives myself, but nothing stuck except the 94 so save yourself the trouble and do it right the first time.

The 94 Primer is not adhesive. It "cleans" and preps the surface to accept the decals. I ordered a small can of it through Merritt Marine. https://www.merrittmarine.com/store/...uct_detail&p=4

Good Point NJwardy! Make sure the area is super clean too before applying the primer 94. Maybe hit it with some acetone.

I checked with the factory to make sure and here is their response:

The only thing we have tested with any success in adhering to the Roplene hull is 3M 94 primer.
