Codfish, I was wondering the same thing. Right now I am waiting to hear from
the builder (production not custom) on extending the garage a few feet.
I am exploring all possibilities.

I have also seen (just can't find a picture right now) of a removable tongue trailer that just slides and is pinned back into place. That type of system I would think could be built on your present unit, and I would think much stronger than one that just swings out of the way... This since it could be braced much further back the center axis of the trailer and beefed up all at the same time.

I finally found a picture of one which would also make it a little harder to steal your trailer when parked outside with the tongue removed. Now you would need to have electric brakes installed (if you have to have brakes) for such a system to work. I would think it that such a system be fine for a 190 Bay and smaller applications.

These pictures show the swing tongue on our Rolls Axle trailer. Without the swing tongue, our boat would not fit into the garage. On 12/28/2005 we had the opportunity to have our 2005 Triumph weighed. The “Irresistible” came in at 4,585 pounds with a full tank of fuel, the Yamaha F-150 four stroke, and the Rolls Axle trailer. We calculated the tongue weight at 300 pounds. If you have read our modifications Article, then you know this also includes the radar arch, two Group 31 AGM batteries, electronics, etc.

Vic that looks good Brother,
But I don't think that Steve is looking to buy a "new" trailer just retro fit his current EZ-Loader and the kit that was shown (maybe others are rated higher?) was only rated for Class II weights. Even the smaller 190 Bay is close to such weights when loaded and not something "I" would feel real safe dragging behind my truck

Vic those are good photos. It looks allright
I am looking at all options right now as my wife really likes the house
she found. What is the manufacture name as I might have to take the
plunge for harmony. The thought of storing my boat elswhere is not on
my option list .

Hope you understand that I am not trying to spend your money. The manufacturer's web site is http://www.rollsaxle.com/ .

How high is your garage door? Without my trailer, my 210 would get into my 8 ft high door.

I have been told by a number of boat dealers that any good welding shop can probably convert a trailer to a swing tongue. This trailer has more going for it than that. No galvanized metal. All aluminum or stainless. They have seen trailers that they made almost 30 years ago, so if I take care of this trailer it will probably outlive me.

Steve,
If you do go with a new trailer (might be your best option in the long run) I would also have it equipped with a Torsion axle for it will set lower and ride much, much, better not only over bumps but also track better at highway speeds

Vic , the door will be eight feet high.

Just got a reply from builder. They will be able to extend garage a few
feet and give me the 8' clearance. Lot constraints and $ per square foot
extra for changes means it is now on my trailer. Don't worry you aren't
spending my money it is my wife's doing. Whenever I mention how instead
of new house we could upgrade boat she counters with" new house or new husband
either way somethings changing". Someday she will see the light..

Putershark you are referring to a round live axle as opposed to the standard tube,
correct ?

Steve,
In a nutshell it is a tube type of axle that does not have leaf springs and once set up for your rig weight wise, not only sets lower, but has more shock absorbing ablity (less bounce) than the leaf spring technology that it replaces
