trailer tounge modify

Dick or anyone else. I was wondering if modifying the trailer tounge
to swing away was a reasonable fix. I have the galvanized ez-loader.

I guess that would work for the smaller boat trailers, that do not need brakes, or perhaps if your trailer has electric brakes. Mine is hydrolic, thus would not work.

Wow, that looks great. It was never an issue before now as I kept
the boat in the backyard.
but the new house my wife loves will require the boat to be garaged..thanks

That should not matter, just extend and use flexible (aeroquip) type brake hose and hydraulic brakes should work just as well as before. You have to remember that the extended brake lines be it extended or folded, would still be the same length so bleeding them and keeping them air free should not be of an issue either.

A quick chat with the Cabelas customer service says that it is a Class II with a weight capacity of 3500 lbs gross trailer weight. Both sizes are the same.

Thanks now I can look in to it. My tongue stisks out of the carport thingy I have, this will help me to close it up better.

I would be very careful and maybe not do it if it is only rated for a Class II rig. This for a fully loaded 210 can get very heavy and I would think push the envelop of Class II weights of 3500 pounds.

My 210 with near full tank of gas and some fishing gear weighs in at 4,200 on the trailer, and that does not include the tongue weight resting on the tow vehicle. I don't think I would trust a Class II hinge either. I realize you have a 190 Steve but you would still be very near the top end of the weight rating for the hinge.
