Towed Weight of 190 Bay

What are the actual towed weights for member's 190s? Mine has a 115hp Yamaha 4-stroke.

Never had mine weighed, but I'll take a shot...

1,700 - boat
600 - trailer
500 - motor
300 - fuel (guess)
200 - gear (guess)
3,200 - total

Cincinnati is real close. I did some work on my trailer when it was new and had it over the scales several times. Ended up moving the axle forward 5-1/2 inches to cure a tongue weight problem. Mine is about 3000 Lbs. with about 260 on the ball. My 190 is set up with a 140-4 stroke, dual trolling batts, TM, charger, cooler seat (no T-top)and all the other goodies. Oh Yea, the boat was weighed with about 1/2 tank of fuel.

I was planning on adjusting the position of my trailer axle, due to some swaying when towing on the fwy.
I think the swaying is due to the fact that I installed a T-top.
Im assuming I need to move the axle further back to reduce the swaying.

Is this a correct assumtion??

I think the first thing I would do is to check your tongue weight. Tongue weight should be within 7 or 8 % of the total maybe a little more but not greater than 10%. If the boat did not have a sway problem before adding the T-top then I suspect you might make it a little better by moving the axle back and having more weight on the ball. What I think is happening is that the added drag created by the top is actually lifting the front of the boat effectively lightening the tongue weight. Do you have a drop hitch? If you do, try dropping the ball a few inches and go for another ride. The top could be acting like a wing and changing it’s attitude could cure your problem. Another solution is to add an anti-sway bar to the hitch. These are inexpensive and are easy to install.
One word of caution should you decide to move the axle back. My trailer bucking problem was because of the flex in the trailer frame. I could watch in the rear view and every time the boat took a bump or dip the trailer would flex and give the truck a little jab. It was like hitting the bump twice. Moving the axle forward cured this issue and now you can hardly tell the boat is being towed.

thanks for the advise.
I had a 4" drop hitch and changed it to a 2" drop, w/ no results.
Think I'll try moving the axle 4" back.
I'd like the trailer to track my vehicle and not to sway from small steering corrections.
