Fish box drain holes
The bunks on my trailer cover the drain holes in the bow fix boxes, causing a very
slow drain after I take the boat out of the water. Is it safe to adjust the position of the bunks? Ernie P. |

Hi Ernie
I've never had that problem with mine although I never put the plugs in either and the water seems to drain fine for me.
I'll end up with about 6-8" of water in the boxes while boating and as soon as I take off it drains right out and it also drains out as I put it up on the trailer. I wouldn't change the configuration of the bunks as they are from what I understand designed and spaced to keep the hull from flexing out of shape while it is on the trailer. I guess you could take a 1 in hole saw and drill through the bunk as long as the hole isn't lined up with a bunk support, but then that might weaken the bunk too. |
