I have the same exact engine setup on a 2005 150CC, and I have pulled a wakeborder with no problem.

I have a 150 fish with a 50HP Merc. I found that I can pull a tube with no difficulty with
3 people total. With 4, there was some strain.

towing

When you pulled a skier on your 150 what did you hook the line to?

I asked a frequent skier and they said I could tie a line to both of the back cleats that meet in the middle behind the motor, then have a line to the skier from there.

Has anyone built a custom metal bracket set up? Like a cargo rack over the back of the boat/motor that could double as a ski hook? Or is there a manufacturer of what I'm describing?

Thanks,

Jared

Jared,

My tow rope splits so I can hook it to the 2 back 'U' cleats. I never considered a custom bracket.
