The water was in the hull, not in the boat. It did take a rather forceful tug to pull the boat and trailer out of the water. Had I stayed in the water any longer I believe the bilge pump would not of been able to pump the water out as fast as it was coming in,which was the case. I probably would have been the first Triumph to partially sink. I can see the bow popping up out of the water and the stern and the motor submerged had I not gotten the boat out of the water. The dealer has repaired the leak. The bait well pump was broken and that was where the water was leaking in at. The pump was replaced and the boat leak tested buy the dealer and they told me the leaking problem has been resolved. The dealer is also in the process of resolving the engine problem. They have ordered parts for the carburetor and when that is repaired I hope to be able to pick my boat up and have some worry free fun on the water while I break the engine in.

I picked my boat up off the dealer on 7/26/07. I took it for a test ride on 7/26/07 afternoon. It started right up and runs like a charm. The 40HP Yamaha does take awhile to get up on plane but once it does the boat scoots along nicely. At 4900 RPM it will cruise along nicely at 25 MPH indicated on the odometer. In the 10.1 hours I've ran the boat it used 14.224 Gallons of full and average burn was 1.41 GPH at high cruise it burns 2.05 GPH. It has not consumed any oil yet and is scheduled to go to the dealers for the 10 hour inspection on 8/1/07. I am very happy with the little boat.
