Lifting by the bow and stern eyes?

Hello,

I have a 150CC that I would like to be able to lift in and out of the water using my marina's lift. However, their lift system is a sling system that has proved unworkable due to slippage and inability to position the straps properly due to the small size of the boat. So, I would like to supply my own straps for hooking to the eyes instead of using the slings.

Does anyone have any experience lifting this boat this way? They manual says that it is fine to do if it is only for temporarily moving the boat. Any suggestions, pictures, examples, links to lifting tackle, scary stories, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Alan

The Triumph website says the the inserts will withstand a pullout force of up to 1,200 lbs. What does that mean? Beats me - up to 1,200 could mean less than 1,200 on a 150. I suggest calling the factory. They should be willing to help.
