Transom and Motor Weight

Forgive me I am not an owner but a shopper for triumph 170 bass. But I do have a question. Please bare with me it's kind of long. I saw in the classifieds section of this web site a 170 bass for sale. He has a photo of his manufacters plate in the set of pics. It shows a max HP of 75 and a max motor weight of 360 lbs.
Now a dealer online has a new 2004 170 bass for sale with a 2004 F75 Yamaha 4-stroke. Looking at Yamaha performance reports they show a 2004 F75 weighing 370 lbs. First what affect would this 10 pounds above the max weight have on the hull. Second and more important what effect would it have on the warrenty.

You're one heck of an auditor! My guess would be that both the insurance policy and warranty would be in technical jeopardy. However, 10lbs isn't going to break the camel's back IMO. But I'd still be concerned. Check with the dealer and see what they say. Maybe there's something missing or different about the information you've collected.

In my old 04 Dealer book, The specifications for a 170 Bass are, Maximum horsepower at 75hp, Max weight of 388lbs. It does not list a Yamaha 75hp four stroke as an available package from the factory.

This boat was listed in the classified section of this web site by Dorado 33. I believe it is a picture of the coast guard plate from his 170 bass. http://www.triumphowners.net/classif...2&cat=2&page=2. The boat for sale I thought was new but maybe used listed on boat trader online. Thanks for all the help. Not having this model in production makes it harder finding a new boat or one with the engine choices I like.
