Deep scratch
Looks like I scraped a rock and put a deep scratch in the lower bow area. Wondering about the flexing in this area (right where the bow cuts the water when running) and if I stand a chance of a fatigue break in the outer skin? I've heard about plastic air welders but has anyone tried it on these boats with good success?

I am not sure but I guess that area is more than 1/4'" thick, could easily be 3/8" and might be as much as 1/2". I base this on the various thicknesses I have noticed around my boat while doing assorted mods. I cannot imagine any gouge that would set up a hull failure. Try an email to the factory to determine depth. The other thing to realize is that your scratch is probably less than 1/16" deep. It only looks worse.

Deep Scratch
This scratch won't hurt anything, we as a dealer use the air heat system to repair cracks with GREAT SUCCESS. Also the plastic is available to be melted in an old pan and then applied like putty, then sanded out..Let me know if you have any questions...Thanks Mike 772-461-7285 Modern Discount Marine
