Be very careful Bluefish,
It is not really wise to try and use it as a "step" and I have heard from Bob himself (I see him at many of the local boat shows) talking to others that you could crack the lower unit housing "if" you try and use them as a step... Besides from a pure safety factor, I would not want anybody that close to a prop (engine running or not) with wet feet. Somebody could slip and really get hurt Other than that, stay safe and enjoy your new cavitation plate! Let me know how it works and your performance gains on your Honda 90. Matter of fact, I am thinking about expanding the prop / performance assessment sheet on the survey page, to include these products as a mounted option check mark, this so we are tracking / comparing how they help performance also...I know that my Honda 150 had a noticeable improvement once installed in both hole shot and handling at all speeds, and maybe that is why this type of product is listed on the Honda Marine web site http://www.honda-marine.com/catalog/...15001.Misc.htm as an engine accessory product ? Tight Lines!
