livewell recirc
I also have a 2004 170 Bass and I briefly looked at adding a recirc to the rear livewell.
It seems real easy but the only problem is that the livewell walls on the rear livewell are double with a gap between the walls. What I am trying to say is that there is a space between the inner sidewall of the livewell and the sidewall of either side compartment. If you drill holes top and bottom on the sides of the livewell, you will have to make sure you dont compress this space when you tighten the fittings. Other than that its real simple. Since I seldom keep fish, I opted for a recirc pump that I just drop in the livewell with a cord that I plug in to a 12volt socket that I mounted on the console. I mounted a spray bar at the top on the livewell that I connect to when I want to use the recirc pump. I had this pump laying around and it is submersible. I only keep fish when I want to move them to the ponds near my home. As far as wiring, The Bass Pro shop has a couple of recirc timers that I looked at but never bought. Dave K ( Sarasota, Fl ) |
