Hello Everyone,
I just bought a 2003 170cc with a 60hp 4stroke suzuki. I saw the new triumps at a boat show and I liked what I heard about them. I could not afford a new one so I did the best I could. I took a test drive and there was a problem with the motor. The gas had a little water in it, the dealer added a fuel filter and some additives to the gas for the water. The second test dirive was great no problems. I will use this forum alot in the near future and would be glad for any advise anyone will give me, because this is my first boat and I could use all the help I can get. I live in CT and will be fishing close to shore most of the time. |

You may know this already, but its important to keep Triumphs properly supported when out of the water to prevent warping of the hull. They come with a specially designed EZ load trailer with extra bunks to provide the added support. Its important that the transom not extend beyond the rear bunks when trailered, not more than 5 inches I think I read in the manual, but I keep mine cinched up to where the transom edge is even with the end of the bunks just to be extra safe. I just got mine too, an 06.

Best of luck, I have a 2003 170 Cool, very similar to the 17 CC. I had looked at these boats back in 2003 but like you could not afford a new one. I saw this one advertised last November and knew heading over to look it over that if it checked out I was going to but it. I have had great luck with the boat; it had a fuel filter installed already and look forward to some great fishing. Congrats

Congratulations on your new boat. Please post some pictures when possible and use the site. There is a lot to read and some GREAT suggestions from other owners.
