Hi I have a question about afixing stickers or decals to the hull of the boat. Im not sure where I have seen it, but I thought that your suppose to prep the hull first in some manner to make sure it sticks. If this is so can anyone tell me whta the process is. thanks

Hi there Stephan, As No fences said: you need to buy 3M 94 primer, It's not cheap but thats what works and there is no sanding if you don't want to, clean with rubbing alcohol, then just brush it on, let it stand, apply your decals, take a little laquer thinner on a rag wrapped around you finger and clean off the excess primer outside the decal to get rid of the dullness the primer creates, A small ampule came with your new boat for the stickers, mine did. They will stick forever using this method. I also bought a 1/2 pint extra to have on hand to put my boat name on too, not cheap but foolproof. Regarding shelf life of any type catalyst or paint/primers is to make sure the lid is SECURE and TIGHT put it in a freezer type baggie and place it UPSIDE DOWN in the refridgerator if the First Mate will give you a little latitude, it will increase the life of the product dramaticly and being upside down ensures no air infiltration, bring back to room temp when ready to apply decals on your Roplene, has worked for us for 9 mos., no charge for this trick either.....LOL
