I have a 2004 with Yamaha 60 four stroke and top speed was 39.xxmph recorded by my gps. And amazingly, my Faria speedometer was showing the exact speed of the gps! If I remember right, that was at 5800 rpm's. Prop is the original 11 1/4 x 14-G aluminum. Now that I've installed an SE Sport hydrofoil (about a year ago) to try to help get on plane faster, and in shallower water, I can only get about 32mph; and that's playing with the trim. I think I'm going to remove the hydrofoil. I just havn't seen the benefit...

Try a different foil for many of them create as much (or more) drag than lift... The one from BMS I recommended years ago has gotten some very nice reviews from several of the guys who have also installed them. One you install it and run it some, then go back and start changing your prop configuration some since you are then getting more lift then before

Some forget that a change in one area will effect performance in another, and you have to compensate for such to secure the max performance from any one set up
