Pulled the trigger on buying my first boat tonight!

You guys, of all people, know how excited I'm feeling right now. Tonight, I bought my first boat! Thanks in large part to all of you, I feel like I made a good choice.

She's a 2004 170 Bass, with 60 hp Yamaha 4-stroke, Fish package, Bimini and swim platform. They'll have her ready to go in about 2 weeks (they had to order the swim platform).

Happy and safe boating to all! Your tips and suggestions for the newest of newbies are welcome!

Ru

Congradulation Ru. I know you'll love the 170. I have a 2004 170CC with the same motor and it is a perfect combination of boat and motor. I envy you being in CA. where you can enjoy fishing and boating almost every day of the year.

new purchase

I own a Bass 170 and use it to fish the Future Pro Tour. It handles really nice. The only thing I reccommend is putting a stainless steel pro on it. This will improve your boats speed and out of the hole shot. FISH ON
