Hull Finish

Hi, I hope somebody can help. I had a scratch on the hull so i cleaned it up and for the most part I did a good job, but what I have now is the area that I fixed is dull. I sanded with 600 grit wet sand and its smooth out nice but now I can see that it doesnt shine like the surrounding area. Any help would be appreciated

STEPHEN, Sand the area again, take it to 800 grit, then take a dry Lambs wool Buffer over the area, this will bring back the finish.

Dick, I read that a light wanding with one of the hot air guns like those used for paint stripping will bring it up to a high luster but that you have to be careful because you have a lot of heat potential.
