Triumph 170CC and Yamaha Digital Gauges

I was told by one dealer that Yamaha digital gauges are not offered by Triumph, True?
I have seen a few Triumphs with this gauge set up. I'm looking at new and used 170 and would prefer the Yamaha digitals. I've had them on my last boat and their performance was flawless.

I don't see them listed as a "option" on the Triumph web site so I will assume that is still true... I know when I got my 04 190, the digital gauges (love them by the way) package for Honda was so new that I had to have the dealer install them. Now as long as the engine has the correct wiring / gauge harness (mostly EFI engines) you should be able to have them upgraded by the dealership with little problems

Digital Guages on Yam

I have an 80 hp. 4-Stroke, new in 2002, that has Yamaha digital guages as installed at factory. The same engine offered by Yamaha is now a 90 hp. but Triumph reduced the max. hp. to 75 on the 2003 models (I think).

Now have =< 190 hours on the motor with not a problem with the motor to date. Only issues with overall rig has been time and salt which required replacing circuit breakers and trim tab switch. Bennett was most helpful. Did have one additional challenge with the boat wiring harness, hot wire to anchor light.

Good boat, building memories...

I purchased Yamaha digital gauges from my dealer and had them install them. I understand that the 2007 Tournament Edition (replaces the Chaos) will have digital gauges included, but don't hold me to it.
