Thanks for the input Putershark. I have that Minnkota 55# bow trolling motor now but is too slow for salmon and striper fishing. I like to go at least 1.5 mph to troll for them in California Delta. On the other hand, i'm thinking about trading the 170 CC to a 191 WT cause it is designed for a kicker motor but not sure about the boat performance yet. Any inputs is greatly appreciated. Dealer is asking $22,807 for it. It's a 2005 WT with 115 yami 4 stroke. If naybody knowsof a better deal ,please let me know. Thanks.

Another option would be to add an auxillary motor mount to the back of the 170. Here's a link to several mounts from West Marine:
http://ecatalog.westmarine.com/0298....ckProdId=15006 Personnally I just use my big engine when trolling. It idles down so I can troll slow enough for Walleyes and White Perch or faster for Stripers. Also, you can always troll backwards to slow down even more if your motor/prop pushes too fast going forward. Just some thoughts. Let us know what you decide and please post some pictures when you get it all together.
