My 2005 17' CC did not come from the factory with a fuse box. I have no knowledge regarding any other year boat. I have a friend who is handy with wiring. When he help me instal my GPS we also installed a fuse box.

Feejer,

My 2002 170 CC has a circuit breaker panel that was used for factory wiring of lights, bilge pump, aerator pump and one for accessories. When installing Depth Finder, the dealer pulled a wire from the accessory position with an in line fuse for that unit. My GPS is a Hand Held, two AA's per day of operation.

I replaced all my circuit breakers over last winter. Corrosion had got to some from water coming in around the trim tabs rocker switch. Those folks at Merritt were most helpful in providing the new switches.

Bennett replaced the switch, N/C with one that is unlikely to leak water into the back of the inst. panel. also coated the circuit breaker block with petroleum jelly to extend the life of the new breakers.

Triumph has changed the mold/ shape on the console over the years. I prefer mine over any others I have seen. The 2002 has flat sides and an almost flat top. Good for a tackle compartment, two Plano boxes (after market) and a tray of Star board on top of the console beside the compass.

Way more info than you requested...

Hi there feejer, My 05 170CC never came with any fuse block, I installed my own using 10 gauge marine wire (completely tinned copper) and installed another chase back to the battery using blue smurf pipe, I run full electronics, ie: Color GPS/Chartplotter, Color Dual Freq. Fish Finder, Standard Horizon Ship to Shore, Sony 100w Stereo, never a problem, but tedious work to route everything cleanly and seaworthy. Smaller boats ofcourse take more of a pounding so all your connections need to be soldered as well as siliconed for salt intrusion. Lots of ideas and pics in the 170 cc gallery, Now get to work!!

No fuse block on the 2004 CC. I ran a dedicated line from the battery with an inline fuse for the FF. GPS is handheld.

Wink

The boats have no fuse blocks....They have independent circuit breakers next to the switches....when we as a dealer install an electronics package we add a small fuse panel inside under the console next to the steering helm. Or if the customer requests we add other breakers to the system....CHEERS
