The four screws are put into an area of solid plastic. It's very sturdy when finished.

Thanks for the reply Dick - When you say 'Assy', does this include the seat itself or just the hardware? Thanks

Just to let everyone know, shortly after I posted the problem I was having ordering the sealastic, I recieved an e-mail saying they had lowered the limit to ordering to 5 bucks, allowing me to order the tube. GREAT SERVICE,as I have gotten with every step of the way in buying my boat(MODERN DISCOUNT MARINE) to asking questions to this. It really makes owning a Triumph more enjoyable. My wife and 9 year old son are going to Sugarloaf Key KOA with the boat Mar. 26-31,hope to see some triumph owners around for our first trip to the keys with our own boat!

Seat in,cushions pain in the %$@#

I just put the seat in, piece of cake, getting the cushions to fit the seat is ridiculous! The snaps just barely do not extend no matter how hard I pull to snap where they are supposed to go on the bottom part...the top I assume is suppose to wrap around and snap together and it is about 1/4 inch from reaching itself. A real pain to do after such a easy installation of the seat. I also did not put the black cover over the base pole like in the pics, didn't see much use in it except for extra support if someone over 300lbs sat there!

rdrsteve,
Could you post some pictures of your seat? I opted for a seat and post from Cabelas so I never went through what you did. You're pictures may help someone else who is having a similar problem. I'm sure after all the work you are going to love the seat. I use mine every time I'm on the water and rank it up there with one of the best additions to my boat.

I will try to find the cable to hook my camera to my computer and take some pics...One other problem..the black plastic piece that goes over the bottom pole that screws in the hull, I noticed you didn't put yours in either...I was showing my wife after and put the black piece up to the pole, it was a good 1/2 to 3/4 higher than the bracket you screw into the hull, makes me wonder if you had the same results and that is why you left yours off?
