170cc Rear Seats
Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and a new (to me) Triumph 170cc. I would like to know where I can find replacemnt seats for the rear. I've seen some of the Triumphs that had the backrest on them, but my boat doesn't. Any suggestions?

Hi JNance and welcome to the site. Congratulations on the 170! Give Dick Cabble at Merritt Marine a call. They have lots of previous year model parts and supplies. http://www.merrittmarine.com

I am also wondering if there is a prefferred way to pull skiers with the 170. I know the eyelets on the rear of the boat could be used, but is there an additional bracket or anything I could use?

It's most likely the easiest and least expensive way to pull someone. Good luck.

JNance,
Welcome to the site. I have a 170DC with the back rests and really enjoy having them. My better half and one of my daughters prefers sitting back there while my other daughter prefers the front. The only time I sit in the back is when the boat is anchored, the bimini top is up, and that's where the shade is. But it sure is great having the back rest when I do sit there. |

That earlier post is right: the back seats are the wettest part of the boat, and that is why my son likes to sit there! I remove the cushions when I go fishing but the backrest frame is still there (sometimes preventing me from going overboard !).
Enjoy your boat! |
