Hello. Just purchased used 2000 logic 17 CC

Hello everyone,

Nice site. I live in Palm Bay FL and recently bought a 2000 logic 17 CC. I've took it out once for about 5 hours. There are a few bugs to work out (taking in water in the hull, but not enough to seriously effect performance). There are two drain plugs in the front of the hull and I'm not sure if this was done at the factory or a modification done from the previous owner (see attached photo with one plug removed). After trailering it I noticed water dripping from one of the plugs, so I believe these plugs are not making a proper seal and some of the water could becoming in there. If anybody has some advice on this, please pass it on. Thanks.

Welcome to the site. I've never seen those drains before so my first guess is that the original owner must have made the modification. We have several Logic owners on board though so maybe one of them can confirm. Glad you've joined us!

Thanks for the reply. I agree with you, believe this is a modification done by the previous owner and I'm not sure if it should have ever been done. I'll try to check with some of the other Logic owners about it.

Take it easy.

you can wrap those 3/8 pipe plugs with some plastic tape and it will give a better seal against the poly pro

Thanks Plumber17,

I've got some teflon tape and will give that a try.
