I have a new 170 cc and while installing a tri gauge and depth sounder I found a ballcock on the livewell pump. I glad its there so when I'm not using the livewell I can controll water entering through the intake. Why didn't they tell me about it in the manual.

Dennis,
What is the ballcock on the livewell pump. If this is a switch that allows me to shut off the water to my livewell please tell me where it is located and how to stop it. I am running a plug in the high speed pickup when not fishing and would love to not have to take it in and out. |

Ballcock valve. Open the access hole in front of the engine, to the right [starport] side behide the fuel tank, below wireing pvc pipe is the livewell pump. After you find the pump run your hand straight back toward the engine and you will find the lever to the ballcock. Pointing straight up is open and down to the right is closed. Good Luck.
