Just got a few questions for ya'll.
1) I am looking for a trolling motor. What brand and models do you all use? I have the railing on the front, so any issues with clearances? Also, looking for a Bimini top. What size fits the 170CC?
2) How skinny of water can the boat get in when fully loaded? Not really wanting to check out, but would like to know.
3) Is the hull & deck safe to use dish soap and bleach mixture to clean with? Also, can the hull be waxed? Does it even need it?
4) I read some threads about a transom saver. The Honda has a flip style rest that from what I can figure this takes weight off of the hydraulics, but what about the transom? Is a transom saver recommended?
5) Where can i get some of the plastic powder that is used to fuse fasteners and holes with? Does it have to be ordered from Triumph or are there any home improvement/ marine stores that may carry it? Would like to have some handy.
Thanks in advance.

First, congrats on your "new" boat...you're going to love it!!
I'll try to help you out on a few of your questions:
1) Trolling motor: I have a MotorGuide 71lb thrust 24 volt on my 170CC. I did remove the bow rail and installed smaller grab rails along the side to make room for it. Others may have different options that they have done.
2) Skinny water: I've had mine in water so shallow that I had to lift the trolling motor out in order to move. It was less than a foot of water. I usually carry two anchors, two people, around 3/4 tank of gas, cooler, three batteries, and a whole bunch of fishing gear with me.
3) Cleaning: You can use any detergent on your boat...just no petroleum based products. I use Liquid Tide on mine and it works great. Every one has their pet cleaner. Everybody agrees that a power washer (or a do it yourself carwash with the pressure wands) works the best to get rid of those little black dots that seem to show up everywhere. Waxing: Real men don't wax! One of the great things about your "plastic" boat is that you wash it and you're done. No waxing. Ever!
4) Most motors recommend a transom saver type of support to ease the strain on the transom. For trailering long distances it is a must have.
5) Roplene powder: Contact Merritt Marine at (919) 732-7377.
I hope this answered your questions. Let's see some pictures of your new love real soon.
