first and foremost ,i wasn't signaling out any one person so please forgive me to anyone who may have thought that was happening. We are all family here and your safety is as much a concern for me here as i hope mine is to you.

i will hold the factory to the fire as hard as any of you as to any issue of concern as to the handling and fit and finish of our boats . trust me the guys at the plant know me as Mr. Constructive Criticism!! To me 1 helm not functioning correctly is a problem and i can only hope there is a way for the warranty work being done by all the dealers is reviewed somehow at the plant to target repeated issues before they start showing up here ... I am not crazy about all the wrong things showing up but then we may be able to perform this service to the factory by providing posting of these issues. maybe randy may want to think up another forum header regarding issues the factory could come over and review on a regular basis and that would help them spot potential problems such as this thread hopefully before the hurt feelings come out.

again, i was not out to point a finger or blame any one person . i own a 210 and have owned a 186 so i dont pay as much attention to the 170 posts .however ,that being said if we have repeated helm problems the plant needs a way of knowing it .

in closing in the last 7 years , i have seen some newbie questions on here that have made me make sure i kept them in my prayers that night for they were surely gonna need all the help they could get !!!

peace and chicken grease
berto

now i know there are those of you saying the boats should be perfect off the showroom and you paid good money not for problems and i will not go further down that ramp cause it gets a little slippery. i guess i am lucky to be good working with my hands and i dont mind getting dirty working on mine--plus being poor necessitates that alot !!! they are only gonna get perfect by our input as to the problems and making sure our dealers are getting the word back and not just taking the money for warranty work as a bonus for having the line.
