My ski boat is out of commission and my wife wants to go sking..can i use the tiedown mounts on the transom to hook my ski rope harness...is it strong enough to pull a skier? She is very light 110 lbs and pops right up..The motor is 75 e-tec

I cant speak directly for your 170, but I have used the strean cleats on my 210 for pulling a tube. So I cant see why you couldnt get a skier up with them.

Couture,
I have a 170CC with a 60hp 4 stroke. I've pulled my son: 160 lbs. tubing and wake boarding easily. You should not have any problem with the 75 eTech. You'll probably save some of that $3.00 per gallon gas compared to using your ski boat. I use the hooks on the back of the boat; the ones you snap your tiedown straps to for sking. Have fun!

Same here...just use the tie down hooks on the back. I've pulled tubes, kneeboards, and skiers...no problems.
