170CC sitting on the trailer

Here's a question,
It's just killing me, but because of all the demands on my time this year my new 170 has been sitting on the tralier (an EZloader with bunks) since January, and the way it looks, it may be sitting most of the summer.

So here's my question, living here in wonderful downtown North Carolina where the summer temps will be on the "very warm" side, do I have any worries about the bottom of the boat sitting on the trailer bunks and distorting during the heat of the summer?

Thanks
Kevin

I wouldnt worry about it. My 210 has spent all but about 120 hrs of its life on the trailer. freezing cold and in the blazing sun. most of the heat even with a tarp over it.( retains heat realll well). No problems at all

I live off of Saint Marys road just North of Durham and I have a 170CC that set on the trailer from July through the end of Feburary without any problems with just a boat cover over it. During that time peroid I only had it in the water for 36 hours. If you ever want to talk fishing or about the 170CC just shoot me an email at cpegram@nc.rr.com. I mostly fish Kerr lake and the 170 handles the rough water that develops in the main part of the lake in high winds.

Thanks guys,
It's killing me that I can get 10 hours on the boat to get it back to the Merritt's for it's scheduled maintance.

Newbie, good to hear there is someone close to home waters, we just bought some property about 2 miles from the boat ramp on Philpott Res. in Virginia. Hope to be able to spend some time there later this summer.
The few times I have fished Kerr I have done pretty well, for not knowing what I was doing or where to fish, it will be nice to talk someone who knows that lake better than I.

I have a 1999 17CC and it's been in the Florida sun and on a trailer from day 1.

Put a fuel additive in your tank if your gas will sit for more than 30 days. I didn't and now I have to rebuild the carbs before I can take it out. Also turn the steering wheel several times about every week or two to keep it from freezing up on you. I didn't and now I have to replace the steering cable.
Run the motor for a few minutes every week or so if you can.
